Privacy Policy

Your shelf lives entirely on your computer.

Nothing you save is uploaded to Tansei's servers. Items are stored as-is, just like any other file on your computer. Screenshots, recordings and saved copies go to a Tansei folder in your Documents, where you can open them like anything else.

Tansei does not require sign-in.

You can use the app without creating a profile or sharing an email address.

The Tansei app does not include analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking.

When you delete something from Tansei, it is removed from your shelf.

Emptying the archive permanently removes managed items and cannot be undone.

Tansei only asks for a system permission when a feature needs it. Voice memos use your microphone, and screen capture records the screen or window you pick. Nothing is recorded unless you start it, and recordings stay on your computer.

You can manage or revoke permissions at any time in your system settings.

Purchases on this website are processed securely by Stripe. Purchases through the Mac App Store are processed by Apple.

Either way, we never see or store your card details.

Page views may be measured with cookieless analytics, with no cookies, no profiles, and no cross-site tracking.

When you activate Tansei, we receive your license key and an anonymous identifier for your computer. We use this only to validate your license and enforce its device limit. Tansei checks periodically and continues to work offline between checks.

Mac App Store purchases are handled by Apple. The Windows app, and direct Mac downloads, are purchased through this website.

For purchases and downloads made directly from this website, we use Resend to send license keys, download links, purchase emails, and replies.

We keep your email only to provide these and to send occasional product updates. You can unsubscribe or ask us to remove it at any time at hello@tansei.io.

When you apply at tansei.io/creators, we collect what the form asks for: your name, email, country, where you post, links to your work, and anything else you include.

We use the information in your application to review it, contact you, and manage any collaboration that follows.

We keep creator applications while they may be relevant to the program. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information at any time by emailing hello@tansei.io.

We don’t sell your information or use it for advertising.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The date above will show the latest version.
